To meet the France startup visa requirements, international entrepreneurs and founders must satisfy specific criteria designed to foster high-growth innovation.
Must present an innovative startup project that you plan to develop in France.
The project must be officially recognized or accepted by a French public partner.
Demonstrate financial self-sufficiency equivalent to the official French minimum wage (SMIC), roughly €21,000+ per year.
Provide proof of a clean criminal record from your country of origin and residence.
A solid business model mapping out viability, job creation, and economic contribution to France.
Valid comprehensive healthcare insurance covering your initial stay in France.

Step One

Step Two
Project submission to French tech accelerators and obtaining the official letter of endorsement.
Step Three
Submission to the Ministry of Economy (DG Entreprises) to secure the formal validation of the innovative project.
Step Four
Lodging your Talent Passport visa application at the nearest French consulate or embassy.
Step Five
You arrive on your long-stay visa, then apply for your multi-year talent card, valid for up to 4 years and renewable subject to continued eligibility.
A clear, complete file is the best way to show you meet the France startup visa requirements. Officially, this route is the “talent – innovative economic project” card; its conditions are listed on Service-Public.fr, the French administration website.
A passport valid for your planned stay, with copies of the identity pages and of any previous French or Schengen visas
Proof that your innovative economic project is recognized by the French ministry in charge of the economy, after acceptance by a French partner
A business plan that sets out the project’s viability, job creation and economic contribution to France, as listed in the criteria above
Bank statements or income records showing you can support yourself, and any accompanying family, during your stay in France
A health insurance certificate for your stay in France, plus a lease or other proof of your address in France
Marriage and birth certificates if your spouse and dependent children will join you on a “talent-famille” card
